The Masonry Society has presented Laura Redmond and Tina Subasic as recipients of the 2025 Phillip J. Samblanet Service Award, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the Society.

Laura Redmond has transformed The Masonry Society Journal by successfully transitioning to the Scholastica platform. Within the new system, she has developed streamlined workflows, clear reviewer guidance, and improved author communication. She has also advanced accessibility of previous papers through the addition of DOIs and creation of a centralized digital archive of over 280 legacy articles, now easily discoverable through Google Scholar. These improvements will help TMS Journal papers receive greater visibility, more citations, and make a broader impact in the masonry community.

Tina Subasic has been a dedicated contributor to TMS for many years. She continues to encourage engagement and advocacy within TMS and the broader masonry community. Her thoughtful contributions span multiple committees, including the Meetings Committee and newly organized Women in Masonry Committee. Most recently, she co-authored an article on Low-Carbon Masonry for TMS Responds. Beyond TMS, Tina amplifies the Society’s mission through her work with MACS, ASTM, and other industry organizations.
