Committees
The Masonry Society (TMS) relies on committees to conduct its work, build industry consensus, and advance the practice of masonry.
Committee service plays a vital role in developing standards, sharing knowledge, and supporting the Society’s mission. Serving on a committee offers a rewarding opportunity to learn and collaborate with peers across the industry.
Committee Structure
TMS is governed by the Board of Directors and its Executive Committee.
Committee work is organized into two main groups: Administrative Committees and Technical Committees. Administrative Committees report to the Administrative Committee Team (ACT), and Technical Committees report to the Technical Activities Committee (TAC). Both ACT and TAC report committee progress directly to the Board of Directors.
In addition, the TMS 402/602 Committee operates as a technical standards committee with its own group of specialized subcommittees, each focused on specific areas of the code and commentary.
